Jade bounced on her toes a little, “Yeah.” And then she bolted left, where he’d pointed, using a tree as cover to make and throw another snowball, narrowly missing one from the other team. She went behind another, a bit further down, and drew their fire. She threw a couple more, but either it hit another snowball dead on and canceled them both out, or brushed passed one guy’s hairdo.

“Come on guys! You can throw better than that! Avenge your fallen teammate!”

A snowball careens passed her ear, missing by inches.
