Welcome to the April AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.

GENERAL INFORMATION

PLAYER NAME: Hayley (you tired of me yet)
CHARACTER NAME: Lenus Grey
CANON: Original
BLURB: A young man born with healing magic who wants NO PART OF THAT BULLSHIT WHATSOEVER so he runs off and find his true love: alchemy.

And also a merman. Who also is into alchemy.

Basically he marries alchemy.

He's rather blunt and not good with people, best described as a book smart young man with good common sense and the emotional intelligence of a teaspoon.

AU INFORMATION

CHARACTER AU NAME: Lenus Grey
STUDENT OR FACULTY?: Student -- torn between late high school and grad student

CHARACTER BLURB: Lenus's father, Iovan, was born to the Greys. Though skilled with many different types of magic, the Greys specialized in healing, and anyone with talent in it was expected to become a healer, regardless of their own wishes. It was also expected for healers to only marry other healers, as they took the ~~haughty~~ noble position that the world was their patient and thus it was malpractice to be in a relationship with a patient.

Iovan did not marry a healer. He married a young woman he had fallen in love with. The result was Lenus.

Lenus never met his father's family. In fact, the Greys had all but excommunicated Iovan, never once acknowledging Lenus's existence. This left Lenus with an emotional distance to magical matters with no real desire to close it, despite his father's attempts to educate him.

Even so, he ended up showing some talent for healing.

A lot of talent.

Considerable talent.

Though he already had a lot of potential for healing magic to begin with, Lenus was born a Candle, and his Flame boosted his healing magic even further (though with the drawback that it would harm daemons, undead, and other with daemonic taint). He was noticed by Daybreak around the age of 12 and, to Iovan's delight and Lenus's... less-than-delight, began his studies.

He volunteers to help out at the infirmary, but given the people currently running it, can only do so much. He prefers to make use of alchemy, primarily when it comes to healing potions and tinctures (he doesn't have anything against the act of healing and helping others itself, just with everything that the Greys do. Also his bedside manner is TERRIBLE).

PRE-ESTABLISHED CR: Mage families that might know the Greys? Infirmary bros? Alchemy bros? LET ME KNOW.

DESIRED CR: please for the love of god make this shy loner loser realize that being nice is a necessary part of society and he doesn't need to be blunt and clueless when it comes to others' feelings

... would it help if he knew how much the Greys owe Celestia?
