Wishes Forever
The "What If These Bitties Never Went Away And Just Stuck Around Forever To Grow Up" AU Meme!

It's exactly what it sounds like! Post in here and tell us about how things would go with your characters and their younger selves! That wist seems to have taken off forever, leaving all these split souls to become their own people. How would the younger ones grow different? How would they stay the same? Would the two selves mildly get along? Grow close? Want nothing to do with each other? Lets pass out these details and TL;DR into the night.
For bonus fun, leave a 10-20 years later prompt for others to tag with!
Héctor || Teto
Finding out about Héctor was hard, Ernesto even harder, and worst of all the whole dying thing. He takes a sharp turn for being more careful and even outright anxious with things. If the two ever work out the arsenic thing, Teto will only drink out of closed containers and probably never drink alcohol, and remains careful with food regardless. But the little bit of paranoia and fear is a small sacrifice with a boy who otherwise grows more secure in his own self as opposed to what is seen or asked of him. He has much less issue with standing up for himself.
Because it's fae magic and an au and I can do what I want, Teto develops magic of a skeletal nature without being dead. His form has a sort of orange glowing transparency instead of full on skeleton. Maybe he can go incorporeal who knows. He gets pretty proficient with a lot of other kinds of magic (and maybe a little ill advised necromancy dabbling) but still goes back to guitar. He goes back and forth between big dreams and smothering his talent more than he actually needs to. Appearance wise, he looks much the same as Héctor, but probably a bit healthier and brighter than the Héctor most of db knows. Except he's definitely getting a tattoo. And some ear piercings. Just stop him from a gold tooth if he ever gets that knocked in. May or may not eventually have a goatee.
His relationship with Héctor is weird, but mostly good. Treating him like an actual guardian becomes second nature, however much it has to be hushed if Héctor manages to stick around and Teto grows to match him in age. If Héctor doesn't live, that all of course gets a lot harder and sadder, feeling like a double loss. He connects with Coco in a sibling way that's a little too nice and sad for normal siblings, but they're there for each other and care for each other and the elephant is so worked around it just lives in that room now. He still shows interest in bitty Imelda and still likes older Imelda as a matriarch figure. Goes to her for all the advice. Everyone he's friends with at db are precious people to him that he'd
diedo anything for. He keeps in touch with all of them and considers many to be family, inviting them over as such.He tends to local graveyards and takes all death practices hugely serious. He cries tears of bittersweet joy when he gets his first grey hair.
Jailbreak | Jasmine
At which point Jasmine is basically doomed to having a weird terrible mentor figure in her life, sorry, no takebacks.
She's not the best at emotions, but when Jail actually ends up caring about someone she's willing to go hard. Once she'd more-or-less sorted out her feelings on the matter (and cleared up any remaining awkward misunderstandings poor Jasmine might have about what exactly happened here), she'd adopt her as a younger sister, on the grounds that they're clearly related but also Jail is. Not mother material. Just no.
The good news is that Jasmine would grow up with a lot of love and support, albeit frequently expressed in deeply eccentric ways. She'd probably still end up being a lot calmer and sweeter than Jail, even as an adult, but she'd be a lot less shy and self-loathing by the time she grew up. There's a good likelihood of her sharing her older counterpart's love of life in general and having a good time, even if she'd be much, much less recklessly hedonistic about it. Would definitely care a lot about doing good and helping people, probably spending long periods in the library or lab buried under a pile of books and working on a project. Is going to solve cold fusion by the time she's thirty if it kills her, so help her God, just you people watch, etc.
(tl;dr She'd be the nerd-hippie to Jail's goth-punk.)
Physically, she'd also be in better health than Jail, due to actually being around someone who knows what her seer powers are doing to her lungs in detail and has the time and resources to treat her condition from the start, instead of having to put something together over the years via trial and error while hoping it didn't kill her. Might have periodic coughing fits with her visions, still, but wouldn't need the mask to breathe for her like Jail does.
Way fewer scars, hair is slightly shorter and much neater, might be slightly taller than Jail by the time she's done growing due to better nutrition during the teenage years.
