CHARACTER: Hazel Mire | Original | preppedandloaded
CHARACTER AND AU SUMMARY: Seer and candle formerly of a cult that saw Nightfall as a good thing meant to save the world. Cult tried to summon an Outlandic being called The Edict meant to help jumpstart Nightfall in some way, only instead summoned a powerful daemon that killed all the adults and left the kids alive to use for later. Went on the run trying to stop Nightfall from happening and helps out with Supernatural Shenanigans wherever her visions lead her. Heard about Daybreak Academy from a hunter group she ran into and decided to enroll. She needs all the help she can get to prevent her visions from becoming reality. Paranoid, manipulative, and very unsure of where the lies end and the truth begins with what she was raised to believe. Has an anti-daemonic defensive aura if she ever feels physically threatened by daemons or daemonic activity.

WHAT I WANT: People she can touch (and manipulate), someone she can befriend and not be afraid of, adults she can begrudglingly start to trust, PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP HER CHILL OUT. Girl is very highstrung even though she pretends she's not. PEOPLE SHE CAN HAVE VISIONS ABOUT? Someone to find out her full name is Hazelnut.

EXTRA: Permissions for her Sight By Touch. It allows her to see the deepest desires and doubts of anyone she comes into physical contact with so I would like to know what is and isn't cool with people. Also VISON POST. Let her have visions about your character. It can even be dumb ones that make no sense.

Desi still hasn't been set on fire by accident yet. That's a good thing, right?

Anyway, she's still interested in making more friends, so if Hazel doesn't reach out first to try to move past just being acquaintances, she might go and make a move herself. She's probably gonna be needing whatever friends she's made to help keep herself together, as some things she's involved in are going to take a really sharp nosedive.

IT IS. Hazel has been careful about trying not to Freak Out whenever someone vaguely daemonic is ner her in game, but the girl is a walking trigger finger so who knows how long that will last.

Desi has been nice to her and so she'd be okay getting to know her more. And maybe she has a vision that makes her think she needs to stay by her and watch out for something.

A part of how Desi's been with Hazel so far is she's willing to try with anyone that isn't just 100% put off by what they see. She's still not aware of what Hazel's deal is because Hazel has kept a lid on it so far and probably won't be talking about it for a good while still, but the fact that Desi's not being avoided or anything is being seen as a good thing.

Whether there's a vision about the upcoming incident or not should be up to Triad, I think, since it's going to be during a continuation of his player plot; Gunvolt, who is Desi's roommate/teammate/first real friend/???, is going to be seriously injured at some point. It will not be Desi's fault nor will she have been able to prevent it from happening, but she's going to be extremely upset about it.

Hazel tries very hard to pretend nothing ever scares her and the whole anti-daemon aura revealing her fear is very inconvenient tbh. But Desi is a good girl and Hazel likes her. She won't want to get into what a trainwreck her life has turned into yet, but if she gets any visions about Desi needing help she'll feel compelled to stick around here...possibly even to the point of annoyance, hah.

It doesn't have to have anything to do with the plot itself, it could just be her seeing Desi is going to be upset about something and that her being upset is Not Good. Hazel's visions can be very very vague.

If or when Desi becomes aware of Hazel's fear? She'd be pretty understanding of it. She'd also be considerate enough to not press for the hows or whys of it, and just let Hazel talk whenever she decides she's ready to.

As far as visions go, without seeing what's going to cause it, Hazel could be sort-of-aware that something is going to happen to make Desi really hurt/angry? Like, just let her see an image of Desi just being upset over something, and let the contrast between that and the way she normally acts tell Hazel that something's gonna go seriously wrong. Desi being upset would probably be concerning to Hazel in multiple ways, and she'll want to decide if she should try sticking around or give some space instead:
• On one hand, sorta-maybe-friend will be in need of support at some point.
• On the other, girl with daemonic powers is gonna be mad about something.

Yeah a brief vision of Desi being upset and then angry would make Hazel want to stick by to make sure she's okay and that she doesn't lose control in some way. For all that she likes Desi, she's also kind of daemonic and thus she isn't sure she can completely trust her. She's just kind of...be there. All the time. For a while.

Y'know what? Hazel could be totally up-front about any concerns of Desi possibly losing control if she wanted to explain what she was doing, and to be completely honest that would actually make Desi even more willing to trust her/see her as possibly an actual friend; making sure she keeps control of herself is kind of a Big Deal and she'll welcome basically whatever assistance she gets in that regard as long as it's nothing that would end up being harmful itself.

eta: Triad's going to be putting an IC post for his thing up on the 8th or so, so if you do want Hazel to be aware ahead of time that something is going to put Desi in an awful mood, that should probably happen sometime this week.
