Welcome to the March AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.
Not sure where to start? Feel free to look through the Premise and FAQ for notes on what the game is about, and what to expect. We also encourage you to take a look at our information for in-setting Powers and Secret Societies to help flesh out your character's backstory.

He's a favorite, so I'm excited to see him around! I run two different characters myself (one who I'm apping in on the weekend- this one actually), and it'll be neat to see who/how he interacts with them!
Focusing on Jack though- the idea of him being the way he is because of a fluke of fey magic is a neat way to tie into his origins; it works really well with the unpredictability of fey in tandem with the unknown potential of his own magic...

And thank you! I figured there'd be no Man in the Moon shenanigans this time around but once I read about Feycraft I was like, YES THIS! Haha.
I'm still unsure if I want him roaming for 300 years still or having a time jump though. I like the thought of him having to relearn everything though! Hmmm! I don't know what he would teach should he go the faculty route, after all!

With a time jump, he'd definitely still have the potential to relearn everything? Perhaps he could have roamed the outlands for what he felt was a short time, only to come out 300 years later?

The novels aren't really the same canon, despite having the same writer but that was because the novels were still being written when the movie was being made, so! Having a few callbacks to the original story would be neat.

Oh cool, yeah that's definitely a neat callback in that case! It looks like there's a lot going in favor of sleeping in a lake...maybe to balance it out he could have had a little time wandering around before he was found? That way there's still plenty for him to learn, but you still have the time jump?
