Welcome to the March AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.

I'm considering apping Allie here, who is an OC, and I'm pretty flexible about her background. If you're looking for someone who could possibly serve as a bestie, I have some ideas we can play with. How old are you planning on making him, roundabout? Allie's age is flexible. Also she can see/detect/attract ghosts and spirits, it's a lame candle ability.

* Allie gets kicked out of her foster family house around 15 and just kind of hangs around as a thieving delinquent for a while. Jack could be the one that turns her toward less harmful delinquency and show her the meaning of fun, she can show him how to ~~hotwire a car~~ handle being a regular person in the city.
* They both have a tough time handling basic necessities so they pal around together, steal food, find a decent place to hang out and sleep (he'd be especially handy in hotter states like Texas as he'd be a walking air conditioner and Allie hates anything hotter than 80F).
* If you do decide to go the route of 'normal people can't see him' then Allie could have known him since she was a kid, and got frustrated when no one believed her, so she gave up and grew up just knowing him for some period of time -- maybe he was always there, maybe she blamed him for a foster family rejecting her for lying and told him to scram, etc.

Just a few ideas, you don't have to go for any of them. But it'd definitely be fun to start out with some CR in the wings!

He'll still be about 300 years old, give or take! Sorry for the delay, in a bit of an RP funk.

I don't believe I'll be doing the normal people can't see him route simply because he's not quite the same as in canon. Fae made him, rather than the Man in the Moon so he's like... Jack Frost in spirit (haha) but not quite the Jack Frost this time around. Just a boy who got resurrected by a Fae on a whim and oops ice powers.

But I'm definitely down for them being besties. He can still maybe constantly disappear so it's like no one believes he's there when she says he is but he's really just hiding because of what he is now. She can also help teach him the ways of the modern world since I may have him wake up 300 years later rather than him running around for that long. Still deciding!

Hey, I'll take late! I'm just getting out of an RP funk myself, so I'll share my enthusiasm. Hope it passes soon!

And yeah, both of those options would be really fun to play with, whether it's infrequent friend who turns up when she least expects it, or total newcomer. I mean, she's hopeless with computers and most pop culture, but she's society-savvy and can show him how to not get hit by cars. Her app is posted on the applications page if there are any hooks there you want to work with, and her home-hopping makes it pretty easy to work Jack in there in a lot of ways.

Also Orihime has fey heritage she doesn't know about, and Jack would be one of the few who can actually see the source of her abilities, so that would be fun future CR!

He doesn't need to learn about all the tech but obviously getting some sort of crash course on what's been goin on, what year it is, things like that would be super helpful haha. I may go that route, in fact, since he has CR opportunities with one other to befriend and learn about this crazy new modern world. The more the merrier!

Works for me! Yay! I'm glad you're going for it, this'll be fun. :D At the very least, Allie can nudge him toward Akechi for tech help unless he wants to pick up her bad habits of hunting and pecking and spelling things poorly. Or Orihime can lend him a hand. He's got options!

Too bad I don't have room for a Chie app, ha ha!

Jack may not be all that into tech aside from just wanting to know how they work, haha. But we'll see! Bad habits are always funner to pick up though. Pretty sure he's from a time and was too poor for actual education anyway so it all works out.

It's okay! I'm not really planning on apping Yosuke here, he's too new a muse so I'm mostly derping memes LOL. I still need to finish P4G but the time during Jan to March is pretty boring ugghhh...

Yesssss I have a soft spot for flawed characters and stupid mistakes, they're so much fun to RP. They'll have so much in common!

Never played Golden, so those months always got skipped. But I dearly love the main cast, they're all so wonderful. And the camping scene with the curry is still one of the funniest I've seen.

Yaaasss. It's definitely a lot of fun and this new way of him being Jack Frost will prove interesting!

And Golden is the only one I played since I got a Vita and may have totally forgotten I bought the original for the PS3 oops ^^;; Golden is fun and the additional SLs and stuff can be fun but honestly I feel like it's a little too long now but that's just me. Honestly, the curry part is probably the funniest and least cringy bit imo so you're not wrong haha.

I wish they'd put Guardians on Netflix, I've still never seen it. So at least the CR will be more genuine? Right? No expectations or canon knowledge! I just know he was voiced by Chris Pine, who is a cool dude in my book. And Allie could honestly use someone fun, maybe get her to shake off some of that callous apathy.

Wow excuse u? Go watch it, damn it!! And yes, Chris Pine is amazing and great as Jack. Beautiful boy. He will shake that apathy out of Allie yet!!

I WOULD IF I COULD! I'm a cheapskate! Maybe they do have it on Netflix, they've got a bunch of other Dreamworks stuff there. I'll search for it, I can at least add it to the DVD queue.

But man, that would actually be some really good CR that I hadn't considered. Her BFF is also positive and upbeat and dorky, but obviously isn't at the school, so it's just e-mails forever. Shit, she'll have to start learning to care about other people and not be selfish!

It's on Amazon Prime if you have that!

Honestly, that's the thing that always killed me for Jack. He basically spent 300 years alone. Like, not totally alone but he had a lone wolf streak before Manny chose him. So, lone wolf PLUS none of the kids could see him. Feels.

Yeah, she's totally got the lone wolf thing going for her. Just not the loneliness since she was too mad and resentful.

Also hopefully he doesn't care about personal space, because she sure doesn't.
