Welcome to the March AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.

The question is did they ever meet enough for Mal to have a sense if he can be trusted, as it changes how she'd react. As she has some concerns mom could figure out where she is.

Plus any way someone could be kind to small child Mal is a thing I'd look for for her.

Hmm. D himself doesn't much care for children, but... Considering Mal's half fae and under Maleficent's care, he'd have been better about that so long as she wasn't unruly.

If Maleficent ever took Mal around, maybe she stopped by the shop looking for D's grandfather and ran into D instead? He would have been hospitable, and wouldn't have minded the company. Though he'd probably defer to Maleficent as far as how he would interact with Mal. If it wasn't disallowed, he would have offered her tea and snacks and let her explore the shop (and all the creatures he keeps there) while he hosted her mother.

He's a more sensitive person than his father or grandfather, so he would want to help if Mal was distressed/unhappy, but he's also not interested in crossing a powerful fae right in front of her. He knows where he stands in that food chain.
